1. Livery
This song is largely a single patch in the synth, Vital, mainly using a sine wave oscillator. Marimba players have to sculpt long notes by rolling, and fool the ear into accepting a cascade of many notes as a unified hum. The result is a gorgeous and unique texture, which I marry with the cozy sound of synths in this song.
2. The Forest And The Trees
I wondered what sculpted marimba rolls would sound like as applied to the toms of a drumkit. It can be thought of as a companion to the first song. In fact, I like the idea of Microwave being one piece comprised of 5 movements.
3. Linen
Perhaps this is what it's like inside the microwave.
4. Chestnut
Music to slow dance with a fish to.
5. Streetcar Zone
Mario Galaxy meets Masayoshi Takanaka. Life is magical and I wanna dance.
